1155 = the cut down mainstream socket, cant even run full 16x sli or xfire, anymore then 2x gpu's and you need shitty NF200 or PLX chips, only dual channel ram.

FYI with the 3820 means you can get 2011 for only a little more then 1155, and you wont have the pleb status.

    And everyone has it.

    Burn the troll :)

mmmmmmm GTX 295 Mars goodness :) I'd be up for a competition to win one of those and give it a good sending off party on -1C air.

    calm down plebs

sounds like theres enough prizes (and as a result, i guess categories) to cater for everyones choice of hardware.

most of the main team guys have a choice of several setups to use either way, so

yeah thats it. i had a crack at one of the groups last time, gear i chose was only competive in one of the rounds (which i won - was totally owned in the other 2 though!) but still had some fun with it, learned a few things along the way

i learnt that sandbagging results that are so close to each other is how you bump other people out of a competition.

Nah bro, stick it out, maybe "professionals" should have their own class to compete in regardless of cooling choice? Then they can go nuts with the LN and the rest of us can still play.

    :)
