There will probably be classes for old and new hardwares anyway so we can all play
+1 to this
Sorry JJJC not all of us are ready yet to jump onto the extreme bandwagon .
is it worth revving up my fx8120 + 990fxa + 570 for the comp ? ( Currently clocked @ 4.8 @ 1.41 on air but would be happy to burn it
only if its subzero.
Got 3x 3930's here, two of which will do 57x multi on chilled water, happy to burn all 3 to the ground, thats what bullshitting on warranty is for.
time to turn this 2600K to dust.
GL keeping up with multi threaded benches.
Who is this guy? And where did he come from?
I know mate, was in a joking manner. I still love clocking stuff on water, it's all good fun.
There were different classes last comp, and I'm sure it will be the same this time. The intention is to let everyone compete, not just those with access to subzero/ expensive hardware.
Chill pill people, when were these things ever about who has the most powerful pc or coldest cooling solution? The last comp was a lot of fun and had a little something for everyone. Looking forward to it.
The problem was, that 2011 was lugged into the same cat as sub zero, meaning unless you were willing to burn up 1k+ worth of hardware, there was no way to be even remotely competitive.
90% of SB and SB-E performance can be had on water with the right amount of tweaking and know how. It's not a platform that scales well with cold.
well in the last comp none of the benches were multithreaded anyway so ur 2011 wouldve failed miserably in that round, 2011 only performs well in vantage , 3d11, 06. The rest it sucks even the efficiency in wprime is terrible.
Trust me mate - you will love this comp
Any team au guys still willing to sell any x58 sandy chips?
Are you drunk
lol I think he means 58x .....
he probably meant that AMD would have to be sub zero to be competative.
ando, whens the announcement?
i think dev and snappy are organising this one
