    hey jj, i don't know if you already have one but a little phase has just landed in the fs section based in perth. it's a little pricy but i'm sure you could talk him down from those giddy hights. looks like it's in fairly good order.

    Invest in both ;) but phase is a great stepping stone, and really fun on 24/7 gamers.

    Great on vid cards, northbridges , ram etc etc and typically no cold bugs

    Thanks for the heads up Yamunsa, a phase unit would be some good fun but I just stick with LN2 now since I have all equipment to just keep ordering the cold stuff now.

    It will be great fun if you do end up grabbing it mate. Mcleotg made a point about investing in LN2, which is obviously the only way to go if you want to be up there with the top of extreme overclockers, but it's also a very expensive venture. The $500 or so initial investment in the phase unit is your only investment and it will continue to be fun. For me it took a $200 pot and $500 dewar just to get me going, then it's roughly $150 to every 35L I order.

    I can justify (well, sort of :lol: ) that cost as I really enjoy what I do with LN2, but I also had a lot of fun with a water chiller that pulled down to -20c. You'll be having heaps of fun and learning a lot either way. :thumbup:

    ^ Also what he said. :)

    Yeah, it's definitely quite expensive.

    $3.50 a litre and then delivery charge, that's through freezeright, I tried giving BOC a go but they wanted even more for it. :rolleyes:

    Wow. Genetics want to charge $5.95/L but through the local manager we arrange to look after his computers/laptops and just pickup a dewar already loaded for us whenever needed, just give him a couple of weeks notice.

    Our main money goes into the beverages, dinner, etc. And trying to find time to do it is a real bitch.

    Don't buy through BOC, although that is cheap for them.

    Search for the closest Air Liquide, they will have a reseller who'll charge approx $1 per lt, or try local Cryogenics suppliers;)

    on dice;
    nearest boc (2 hours drive..) quoted $5 per litre for ln2, but also says the same price for dice (per kilogram obviously) - but then he always just goes on to charge me $30 for just over 20KG (works out to under $1.50 per kilo)
    would need a dewar to get ln2 through that same place, but as dingo said, we get a good deal locally on the ln2+lend of a dewar for the weekend anyway, its just we arent always able to get it short notice.

    or when we do get it on short notice, it occasionally still has the cow semen sticks still in the dewar :tongue:

    I have heard of gas places (Boc,Airliquid etc) selling them 2 hand at decent prices.
