Yeah, that's a sweet install. Just wondering if the setup was any quieter than the good 'ol fan and heatsink?

I have a big server case at home, but I'm not quite game enough to add water to the case.

Keep up the good work :).

    Yeah it's heaps quiter.
That was the main reason I changed to water.
I used to run 3 x 80mm case fans and an 80mm 50cfm sunnon on the cpu.
    That was pretty noisy.
Now I've only got 2 fans. PSU and rad. fan.
Loudest thing in my case is the hdd.
Never realised how much the damn thing whined.

    Cheers!

Yeah Hard Dirves are pretty loud really!

I just went from a FOP-38 to water cooling (with the same pump as you too!) and the differance in noise is great!

BTW well done, damm good for a home made job!

    Cheers

    Bit of an update.
Just finished modding my PSU, cut the grill out and replaced the fan with a sunon @ 7 volts.
Also got rid of the drive rails.
I've now got the HDD sitting on a piece of foam, no screws.
Never move my box so it should be safe and it doesn't whine anymore! :D
Got my rad fan on 7v turned to the lowest setting and my pc is now almost completely silent.
Temps have gone up a bit, but I can't hear it over my fish tank in the next room!
    woot!

    :)
