That is an awesome computer you have there. Love how tight everything is :p Do you usually have the panels on the case or leave it open? Does stuff get quite warm in there? :p

havent cut the top panel yet - the PSU blocks it atm.....that this arvo/tomorrows job.

yes - it does get rather warm (well - cpu at least)
    @ stock, prime = ~85c

looking at getting a h50 (trade for my TRUE or something - i dunno - anyone?) and see if i can mount that.

but the gap i have to work with (on the roof) is approx 135*135*40mm, so i dunno if a H50 will fit
unless i externally/partly externally mount it

I put together my new PC last night - have only got as far as installing the OS but so far so good.

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
    Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 800D
Extra Case Cooling: 2x Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm
    PSU: Enermax Revolution85+ SLI 1250W
    CPU: Intel i7 930
    CPU Cooling: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev. B & 2x Noctua NF-P12 120mm
    RAM: 12GB Corsair TR3X6G1600C8
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7
Graphics: 2x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5870 2GB Eyefinity 6 Edition in Crossfire
    Storage1: Intel X25-M 80GB 34nm MLC G2 SSD
    Storage2: 3x Seagate Barracude 7200.12 1TB in RAID5
    Optical1: LG BD-ROM Combo Drive
    Optical2: LG DVDRW
    Monitors: 1x Dell 2407 AND 2x Dell U2410 AND Nanovision 7inch MIMO UM-710 USB2.0 Monitor
    Keyboard: Logitech Illuminated Keyboard
    Mouse: Logitech M950

The U2410s are still in the post and I'll upgrade the 2407 to match in the near future. The USB monitor is so I can run timing & messenger apps whilst I'm Eyefinity gaming on the other three screens. Haven't begun to overclock yet - it took a surprisingly long time to put together but at least the end result is pretty neat. I don't like blinged out computers so this one suits me fine. Nice and quiet too although it's a shame the 5870s have to sit so close together - they should keep me warm in winter at least. :D

I'm looking forward to those two extra screens turning up!

But I would be crushing all the front connector cables if I put a 2-slot card down there. It's just not particularly well thought out in that department.

Tax return came so it was time to upgrade.

    i5 750
    GA-P55A-UD4P (UD4 not in stock)
    4G (4GBTD) 2000mhz
    5770 1G
NZXT Whisper (loving this case, even came with a rubber seal for the PSU and lined holes for wc hose)
    Hiper 580w (old psu)
    Patriot 16g usbstick for readyboost
    Leadtek pci-e x1 Tuner card
    XiFi xtremegamer
    w7 Pro
    Samsung 1tb F3

Stock cooler atm but will put it underwater next week and I'll start playing then. The old machine was using an asus 'premium' mobo but this gigabyte board makes it look like cheap crap (as does the new case compared to the Antec 900...this is much quieter even though it's air cooled atm). First build where I haven't installed an optical drive but will probably get a blu-ray drive. The mobo wanted an extra 8pin 12v power source (and didn't have any cap for the extra four pins like I think it is in lower models) but it seems fine with just a 4pin.

big chunky fans are a thing of ancient pc's.

i have 9 Scythe 120x12mm fans in postage, nice and lean, none of this chunky plastic eyesore sticking out anymore.
Hookin em up to a speed controller too.
