It is a ground shaking architectural change to deprecate el cheapo GPU, older gen CPU and motherboard.
Unless you want to run things in legacy mode.

Is it confirmed the chips will be compatible with Z490 boards?

    Yeah it's fast as f@#£

11700K at 5GHz scored around 34% faster than 10900K at 5.3GHz which is insane.

Both at 5GHz, the new architecture is like 40% faster. That is pretty stupid fast if fully accurate. Kinda leaves AMD in the dust.

8% is a lot, that's approx 8 FPS in CPU bottlenecked games, 100 to 108 FPS etc..

I know supplier / contact has engineering sample 11900K and from what he's saying it's pretty on the money to the leaks but we shall see.

10900K can do 640 Points ST and 7900 Points MT on water cooling with dual rank DDR4-4000@C19. So I believe 695 Points ST.

    I bet its 8% increase and that’s comparing 5.3GHz to 5.3GHz.
