    The 18 months could be a count-down, literally, across all of these chips;

    Hold onto your receipts, don't import any of this hardware and DO NOT BUY IT USED.

    I still can't find any info on the Asrock recall/RMA.

    Is it optional for AIO board manufacturers to fix this issue?

    That's impressive, especially from Super Micro.

    Can't imagine all the Chinese crap factories will be supporting people.

    Sigh - not looking forward to my NAS biting the dust. :thumbdn: I looked at the errata and it's just two clock lines that go dead... I wonder if anyone on here has the knowledge of whether you could derive the required clocks from somewhere else on the CPU/board and link to the tracks on the PCB coming out of the CPU?

    I really hope their absolute denial at the moment about the issue doesn't turn into a poo-storm come RMA time - technically under Australian consumer law, given the now known defect, all affected products are eligible for a full refund and that lasts indefinitely (outside warranty)...

    I have a couple of affected Meraki MX84s, waiting on Meraki to issue replacements.
