    Hi guys,

Looking at either of these laptops for just general use, light gaming etc - what are peoples preferences (and why?) to help guide me on which to buy?

Both are available locally at brick and mortar.

    Its pretty much:

    i7 8750H + GTX1050 vs Ryzen 7 2700U RX560X

My brief research is the i7 is 6 core (vrs Ryzen's 4) and seems to be better in most fields, except power consumption?

    Appreciate any others advice/comments

unless i'm missing something, they're identical bar the CPU and GPU therefore, the 8750H one is the pick. The GPU would be quicker too

Go for the Intel one. Mobile Ryzen still has poor battery efficiency. My Ryzen 2500u laptop's battery lasts less than half my partner's i7 8550u
