yes that thread title is no error there is a brand new build engine game on PC in 2018 from 3D Realms.

This may get me to buy into early access, something I had sworn off quite some time ago.

    It looks fucking great.

    Enjoy.

This is my first early access game so hopefully this will go well.

EDIT: The preview level is good stuff.

    I still don't get it...
If you wanted to play a 15 year old game.. you should have played it 15 years ago?
Things have moved on... I'm getting sick of all these 'retro' games coming out these days..

Well, to start with, it's a new game, just built on an 20 y/o engine, with old style gameplay. Bit hard to play something that didn't exist 15 yrs ago.

The irony in the 2nd part of your post though, is things haven't really 'moved on' - for several yrs now, and that's why more people are turning to retro gaming.. Cause and effect.

You know what i mean though ;)
I do agree with that though.. things have stagnated recently, which is why i haven't bought many new games either.. helps with my huge backlog though haha

Metallica and Iron maiden can be good buddies now.

Shame, didn't think they would do that. Pretty sure Eddie wouldn't mine.

well let's face it, it would confuse consumers who were shopping for an iron maiden and ended up with a metal album instead. very confusing imo.

Does the average consumer today even know what an iron maiden is? I thought it was some 18th century torture device cause i dunno, my brain stores random historic trivia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_maiden
