No complaints here. Running smoothly and I'm yet to hit any real issues.

Has anyone thrown this on an older iPhone? I'm wondering how long my gf's SE is going to last, as I haven't heard any news that Apple is making a new one.

Yep, true, I had thought they brought one out more recently, but nope. SE supports up to iOS 11 so can't really see why there would be any issues with 12.....it's not an old phone.

yeyeye but I was hoping someone had installed 12 and it was in fact magically 40% faster like the Apple slides promise. That would mean it could get iOS13 comfortably.

Anyone able to comment on system storage usage under iOS12?

The main thing that is the impetus for me upgrading is the storage capacity.
