Would be awesome if they had decent IR in there...

Personally Im getting an ebook reader, but wouldnt mind to have a bare tablet thing for around the house .. even with laptops around convenient is the word.

I wont be buying one just yet, theres sure to be a CE or linux based (or able to be hacked) device soonish

    haha news travel fast, yeah.

On second thoughts, I think I will wait for better chinese knockoff. Based on preliminary reviews, it's probably too slow and doesn't have multi-touch.

Its not dreaming, existing tablets are 640x480 and run 1.5 Android so its hardly a huge jump..

I was being serious aswell. Except for maybe the battery life. Such tablets have been show at the current tech shows and in press releases, just need the real thing to roll off production lines.

    yeah? for sub $200?

If there are seriously full touch screen tablets coming out that are 720p and run android 2.1 with over 10hrs battery life for under $200 I'll be over it like a fat kid on a capcake.
