    I feel like you're holding back a bit on how you really feel ;)

    This isn't the XS thread, but here's the XS Drop Test video that was made a short while ago. And yes, the naked XS survives multiple drops, including four drops from 6 feet, onto asphalt without any damage to the glass, and a few tiny scuffs to the stainless steel band. These things are tough!

    Fair enough, you genuinely prefer that to the naked back of the X/XS?

    The glass is pretty much scratch and shatter proof, so basically that case is primarily protecting the stainless steel band - is it worth it just for that?

    No matter what Apple says, I’ll always prefer to have some sort of protection over none. With that taken into consideration: yes.

    Hasn’t caused me any issues in the past as resale gets me the best price when it comes down to it.

    On another note, I prefer the grip of this material over naked.

    Same for me and all the iphones I had over the years. I tried naked with my S8 and chipped it : (
