It was intended as a joke, but fine - Like we've seen with each other major revision of iPhone there's probably going to be a few features that won't be backwards compatible. Honestly don't know what they'll be, but we've seen it with most past revisions so it's a safe bet that this won't be different.

Also, you'll finally get to experience 4G speeds - though given you've waited for the third revision of 4G phone you'll probably get a much better experience for battery life compared to the two previous models.

Fair point - well if your battery life is good and you have no issues with the size of the storage, I'd probably hold onto the 4S then. It sounds like you're pretty happy with what it has, so no need to over complicate it then

are you kidding? ios7 runs like a dog on my 4s compared to ios6.. even typing in this text box shows numerous keystroke delays. Can't wait for an upgrade!

It's a pretty consistent thing for a 4S to run slow with iOS7, iPh 4 is almost unbearably slow. Battery life goes down as well.

    5.5" rear shell leak

Glad to be seeing leaks for this, will be disappointed if it's not released.

Wife's 4s runs iOS 7.1.2 and before the battery degraded rapidly, it was running fine. I'll be replacing the battery with a new one soon so will let you know if it has improved or not.

Yep, they run considerably slower than an iphone 5. It's all relative, if you haven't used a 5 or 5s then its probably going to seem alright for you.

A 4S on iOS7 isn't terrible by any means just slower than the same device on 6 or 5.

More like within a couple of weeks of announcement..

It will be out mid/late September.

However I am not sure what peoples attraction to the iPhone is, it is not the best phone by a long shot..

Apple will have to pull something very big out of the bag to claw their way back - high end droid's are simply streets ahead of the ageing 5S.
