Just looked at the world records for the DW12 practice sessions around Mosport. I was the slow poke of our bunch and I'm still 22nd overall in terms of times. Lars your time is the 3rd fastest time ever and Beano's is 16th.

Not bad for one night's work of practice.

Best quali times are unbelievable though. mid 1:00s...

Ah, good stuff Ben. I would like to run a few more laps tonight, I think I can get close to Jeps' time....

Yeah, not a bad run for us seeing we did not have to many laps around there....

Ps: you were hardly the slow-poke, if you think there was less than a second between you and Lars, 19 people filled that space - will make for an interesting race!

Damn.....best I ever had participated in was top6 guys at the end with less than 0.5 sec between us, and that was congested....

Got down to a 1.01.7 but I've hit a dead end with the setup of the car. Can't dial out the understeer into T2 or into the esses at the end of the lap. Will have to try something drastic I think.

God knows how the super fast guys are doing 1.00.6s!

Yeah Ben, down to a good and fast 01.6, I can turn 5-8 laps in succession at that pace, and I know I can do a 01.3, so will give it a few more laps tomorrow :)

Starting to really get the hang of the car, shut IW the high FFB, I am feeling a bit tired, haha.

    Enjoy Bali!

    Cheers, will do :)

Anyway Ben, after tonight's sesh, Lars is 5th, I am 8th and you are 12th...good progress all over, we are 4 Aussies in Top 10 wrt world record times on this track during praccie....tomorrow I will hunt that 3rd spot down, hopefully, will be fun, haha...

There is only 0.168 seconds separating pos 2-8, so definitely doable....

Edit: Ran another sesh with the Yanks after chatting to Alex, must have been after 03h00, nice and tired and finally got down to 01.520, so down to 6th fastest overall practice lap. Not to shabby, but still not getting a clean run in the last few turns, I think a 01.2 or 01.3 up there for a top 2 .....keep your fingers crossed .....

Forgotten how much fun the Lotus 79 is at Road America. That car and track combo feel made for each other:)

Managed a 1m.54.8 then some freak turned up and did a 1m51.8 on his second lap, then quit:tongue:

I've thought about whether or not i would make this post.
So i will do so delicately.

    Nato isn't well.
His father has informed me he underwent a 6 hour surgery and will most likely have to undergo yet another one. Its a bit touch and go at the moment.
Out of respect I won't go into personal details but i know he has a lot of mates here.

For those of you that have his contact details or facebook, pop him a message of support so he can read them in due time.

I hope my mate gets better soon :(

I am going to try and visit him tomorrow morning. I heard about the surgery yesterday morning and that he came out of it OK but had not heard anything since then.
