Ive got a bit different build list. Im t-joining them into one line for the brakes. And using a $50 brake caliper instead of a pull slave. As well as a copy of the pt1 for clutch just printed or cut from aluminium. The leo boards are only about $50 delivered. Was cheaper to buy a second for my button box anyway. But still only 100 for all of it.

These set including a solid 10mm aluminium base should come in around. 1.2-1.4 mark... plus lots of time.

You are missing one thing on that list and that is brake lines. They should cost me about 200-300 for custom stuff from pirtek.

But because of this build. I dont need 3 master cylinders and no pull slaves. You dont actually need the throttle linkage. Its a ripoff. Just get a 3d printed mount for the pot or some aluminium bracket from bunnings.

Problem i had with those pedals is the price including shipping and gst. The HPPs are a Solid unit and the SEs are SEXY.

I am how ever in the works of releasing some commercial pedals at a much nicer price point. all built from scratch with good friend of mine. Still Early days though as we are still refining the prototypes and retesting.

Jesus your setup puts my Fanatec clubsport to shame!

What is everyone's preference on displays? Triple screen or VR?

I have triple 27" and Oculus Rift CV1 I'm most certainly quicker with VR screen door effect or not. The only sort of tracks I have any issues with is like Le mans doing 300+kmh and seeing the chicanes coming up. Other than that 95% of the time I find VR much better than monitors.

Do you guys think I would be able to make any money selling G25/G27 pedal/shifter adapters? I know the Leo Bodnar one is about $40, but I can make the equivalent from parts from aliexpress/element14 for about $10 in parts.

    depends on;
how much your time is worth
If you can do it cheaper and the same/better quality than LeoB after postage
sell enough of them in the pacific region to make it worth the time.

Realistically I think its a diminishing market. Most people have moved onto G29/920 or thrustmaster and fanatec products.

Of course you can make some money on them but I'd be surprised if you sold more than 50. Like how are you going to market it? Most people would just google for the adapter as they need it and the leo bodnar will be the first thing that pops up.

Only way to find out is build a couple and see how they sell.

I would probably sell on the iRacing forums and hopefully go from word of mouth. Good points though

Hey all, starting to get the racing itch. But sold most my gear!

Anyone know much about the fanatec DD1. Looks like a good commercial unit with them making some good rims as well. Looks like they have modded the QR too.

Also thinking hpp’s this time, sucker for blowing dou

all I know is I wouldn't touch Fanatech again. have my BMW3 rim stuck solid on my CSW2 base and I can see why they have modded the QR

Interesting Richo! Looks like a good time to get back into it with Day/Night transitions coming tomorrow, plus NTM stuff, damage etc in the near future...

I think I will get back into it sometime also... I will be looking at the DD1 also as I really liked my Fanatec rims. As for pedals, I'll be looking around - at stuff cheaper than the HPP/HE's etc.

Aya Fabs. Really like that porshe rim. Almost got enough pennies for the dd1 and rim, sold my screens and 1080. Its a long way back. Might try running with a single 24 monitor, not sure how long that will be suffered. Hpp’s. Yeah big leap setup my old g27 pedals see how it feels. Apparently Fanatec are going to do a high end set.

    Cheers
