You will still earn and lose SR based on incidents though. Keep that in mind .
Had that and the damper kits on them, didnt make much difference to the "feel" only how stiff the pedal was.
I''m making a comeback (as promised). Pics to come as build progresses - I have a while to wait for my SimuCUBE2 so it'll be a slow process though!
Edit: What do people use for free image hosting (for adding pics to forums etc) these days?
Buttkicker arrived, looking forward to some testing tonight
So I have my HE Sprints (3 day postage from GPerformance/Slovakia) and my Ascher Racing F28-SC (also 3 day shipping from SimRacingBay) and my new 2070 Super (to go with my Pimax 5K+) here.
Custom 8020 ordered today and I have my seat and SimuCUBE coming from HRS (still about a month wait I think).
Have designed all my aluminium mounts (pedal plate, wheel mount etc) and MDF bits (for mouse/keyboard/speakers/PC shelf) ready to get cut also.
how is it? I've read they really give you a feel of the car breaking traction & locking brakes
You can upload straight to the forum now.
Wowee, that's awesome, getting back into it in a BIG way. love it.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the Sprints, they seem universally loved... was debating whether to sell my HPPs and get a set of those instead...
Also, supper jelly of the Simucube2... what model did you go with? Pro?
Still on an IONIcube OSW here...
Yeah you can definitely feel the wheel slip on cornering, it gets more violent so you can really tell when it's about to give out.
Tbh the wheel lock is pretty similar to the slip on simhub (which I guess makes sense) also been helpful
Yep went with the Pro
Some dodgy pics so far
I spent the morning at work in a sim gear rabbit hole. Have now replaced Fanatec CS gear on my wheel wishlist with an Accuforce Pro V2. They're pretty much the same price but AF is DD. Now I just need to convince the G25 to die (it laughs in my face) so I can justify it to the minister of finance (aka wife)
While you're in the rabbit hole, keep saving and just get a SimuCUBE2
I'm currently working on a tool to help people make purchasing choices in iRacing, check it out it you want and leave some feedback
I've been looking for something like this for the past 3 months, My subscription just ran out, and I got the e-mail with the current discount as well, so will probably re-up for a year.
I'd like to avoid pagination if possible (at least give me the option)
Maybe separate Road and Oval
Include how long a 'paid' track will be valid for (if known) (ie. New tracks in this season for Skippy's will be used for the next 2 seasons as well)
Pagination can be easily done!
Seperate in which sections? The series page Breaks them down into Road/Oval/Dirt Road/Dirt Oval
I've thought about this but not come up with a way to get the data autmatically. I think its only some series which do this, and getting this data is a pain (scraping at iracing has no API) and I dont know if getting historical data is even possible.
By the time (if) I get THAT serious there'll be something else better/cheaper.
The series pages, I can see they have a type, but It wasn't initially clear to me that I could go across multiple pages and keep my previous selections valid.
I'd love something where I can choose what License I've got, and what content I own, and then the site would calculate what my next content purchases should be to get the best bang for my buck.
Ahh okay, yeah you can select as many series as you want etc.
Yeah next major version I want to add a similar function to the weekly planner where you can choose your cars/tracks and it will show those as already purchased and then the top results will be what you don't own.
Okay, you can select your tracks now and it will manipulate the data accordingly
What's an AF Pro v2 worth in AUD?
