I don't think you'll find a PS5 compatible device yet. They'll need to be specially released after the console is available. You must look for compatability with the system you want to run it with. G920 may be your best bet, can be found ~$400. Just check it works with your console. Keep an eye on second-hand sale groups on facebook and gumtree.
G920 is for Xbox, G29 is for PlayStation. Both will work with PC and they're basically the same so go for whatever suits your console.
Hey gents. Fired up iRacing for the first time in years. Question for those of you with decent connections. Do you download content any faster than 1MB/s? I have a 150-160Mb/s internet connection and can download in the 12-16MB/s range from Steam. Seems pretty slow to iRacing's servers. Fun driving with an Oculus. Only drama is I don't have a mic. Will have to get an external one.
Strange. Will have to contact my ISP. Way slower than any other site for downloading. Had a crack in the F3 yesterday. You feel like you're really sitting in it with VR. Bloody awesome. Way off the pace though.
Mob called Nodeone in WA. Fixed wireless non-NBN network. They're awesome. $89.95/mth unlimited average 150-160Mb/s download, somewhere between 40-90Mb/s upload depending on time of day. I could get FTTH but can't find a plan that's better for the money. So I've never bothered to hook it up.
Get a wireless keypad. This is the one I use (no longer made though). https://www.amazon.com/LOG920000217-LOGITECH-Cordless-Number-Notebooks/dp/B000RZTDZ6 I just attached it to the middle of my wheel (g29) with 3m extreme velcro. https://www.bunnings.com.au/scotch-extreme-fasteners-black-2-5cm-x-7-6cm-strips-2-pack_p3950368 I wedged the top of the keypad into the top of the wheel's leather, 3m velcro'ed the bottom half of the keypad to the middle of the wheel, and it sits there pretty rock solidly, with about 20+ keys to use as a button box. The top 3 buttons on that logitech keypad can be reprogrammed with an old logitech keypad customisation program. Only issue is that brackets, ( and ), end up being recognised as the same key in iracing.
F3 is fun - but my iRating is high enough that I'm in the top split - but slowest of the lot. Need a lot more practice that's for sure. Tried the GT3 Cup after the F3. Not a fan. Think I'll stick to the F3 car.

When did the new supercars appear? because holy heck they're easier to drive than the old ones.. I mean I still suck but I had a pretty fun time at Bathurst last night in the OSR development series.. Def going to aim to do the next season and work on my skills. Also managed only 1 race last week in the supercars that seemed to actually go official, when are the best times to do those races?
When the all stars e-series started they tweaked the tyres to make them a bit easier. Best time for official race is Monday night.
Looking forward to the BMW M4 GT4 coming in the next update. Audi drivers will have two makes to complain about
