Alright! All done... some fantastic recipes in there this time around, there's a few dishes there that I'll be appropriating into my repertoire. Thanks again for the chance to play!

Apologies boys and girls -ran out of time to sort through the photos and post mine last night (had I known that qantas were going to delay my flight for 4 hours this morning I perhaps would have stayed up, but what can you do!)

As always you are all awesome (as are your dishes) so I promise to get more involved next time. (if it happens while i'm in the US I'll have to get bonus points for using my hotel sized kitchen!!)

I found a few of the missing culprits ....
a bit too late but something of interest none the less.
The meat was cooked in the Webber. No shots of that yet.
It was a hands on, everyone help themselves, kind of meal.
The kind of meal where you all sit and chat and feel very content afterwards.

Making some Chimmi Churri for the Leg of Lamb - for a marinade and to serve.

Some BBQ sauce to marinade the chicken thighs in.

    2.5Kg Leg of Lamb
    [IMG]

Mmm Pork Belly Nipples - cooked in the weber but finished under the grill, seasoned simply in olive oil, salt, and squeezed lemon.

Roast Veg included: Egg plant, Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Capsicum, Butternut. Seasoned with fruity Olive Oil salt, pepper & fresh grated garlic.
There were 2 of these baking in the oven whilst the weber did its thing.

Getting the spinach & Green beans ready.
    Fresh Spinach from the garden
    [IMG]

Green beans slowly cooked in EVOO & grated garlic, then tossed through with the wilted spinach, salt and pepper.

    Crackling didn't last long.

And my entry which wasn't lost by an iPhone update

An easter visitor, who sadly had to sit outside.

Thanks guys, all the dishes would have been worthy winners! it was humbling to win. And thanks to the admins for running the comp too.

Looking forward to the next battle in OCAU Kitchen Stadium ;)

Admins don't run the competition JidaiGeki, members do. A few of our members have been running this competition for some time now.

^ While that is true, Ma Baker puts in a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure it all runs smoothly.
Speaking of which, thaks Ma for giving Jidaigeki his title, I never got around to asking! :)

Is everyone down on the next Iron Chef happening in early July? I think it is annual Bake-Off time around then! :leet:
