    Hey hey guys!
So, as it seems this month was completely packed with entries and excitement. There are a few new faces in the compitition, as well as a couple veterans battling it out for the glory of being this months Iron Musician.

Now there is an update to this compitition, so please take note!!!
The winner of this months Iron Musician, will get the name Iron Musician under their name in their avatar, (instead of 'Member'). Ohh the perks, the perks.

Ok on with the business, heres the entries:

nickeax - Sun (Save the file SunNV)

    Testtube - Spring Cleaning

    Edstructicon - Spring Sax

    jq3k - A Walk in the Park

    Comma - Vivaldi Mix

    DJ Fusion - Blues Trap

    spootmonkey - 21

-weet*di- - The Verbs and the Bees

    cyclonite - Tchaikovsky - April

Best of luck to everyone! I really enjoyed this month!

    Voting ends September 5th

    Cheers!
    Chris

    fuck my life.

PS: DJ Fusion gets my vote entirely, without question. In my opinion it totally smacked everyone's entries!

Mine was quite unpolished, seeing as I made it in about an hour and didn't actually bother mixing it or re-recording it. Most probably could have ran a whole horde of variations given a little bit more effort.

I liked a lot of the entries. Hard time voting haha.

weet, I really like the first 30-40 seconds of your entry. It just has a really good presence. You manage to recover that feeling again closer to the end, but the middle loses focus I think, none-the-less keep up the good work!

jq3k, really impressed with your entry. You captured the theme brilliantly! The closing section is great :)

Man oh man, voting is really tough for me! The thing is, there's a lot of tracks in the comp that I think are awesome, but a couple of those tracks in particular are way outside the kind of music I'd normally listen to, and so I'm gonna weigh in favour of the songs in a style that I don't normally listen to, but are done so well that in this case I'm actually listening to them! Does that make any sense? :p

Well I think that's what makes this compitition less competitive. We all vote for different things we like or don't like, and at the same time we also all make music in our own way as well.

Cheers for the comments, I am working on my stuff. I guess i need to get better at hardcore solos, so i can enter a killer next month. My idol for great solos is this:

    Good hero, RIP Zack.

I gave all the entries another listen and made my comments in the other thread, but I voted for jq3k this month. Not only is it an ace tune from a critical point of view, but I just really enjoyed it! Add that to the fact its outside my usual musical listening habits and so it had to work that much harder to impress me means I'm choosing it in a close decision over a big bunch of other seriously good entries, good work all.

Thx man, I put a more detailed post about the gear I used in the August discussion thread but basically I used Ableton Live 7 for recording, editing and arranging everything and I sliced up the drums from a loop which I think came from the Double Bass Mania collection.
