Excluding my entry, I think the quality of the finalists in this months challenge is the highest in a long time.

I voted for my favorite image but couldn't seperate the next 7 or 8 images. Well done all.

    bazz.

I was wondering where all the new votes were coming from until I checked the OCAU news page and saw it's linked in from the Midday Friday update

    Great stuff.

    DAMN - that was tough!

Probably the strongest field in a good while.

In the end, I asked myself which one would I choose to frame and hang on my wall...

    I voted Mred32

But a bloody good standard from all concerned. Well done.

    Cheers, McG.

Definitely one of the best round of entries. Good to see how the theme is approached quite differently by everyone.
I voted for mysteriousjimmy, the title - none of which are displayed in the voting thread - Power Walking, did it for me :).

I went with mred32, but I had to sleep on it overnight and have another look at them all first.............. the competition is certainly bringing out the best in these guys. In the end it was just a feeling of how elegant the theme of "power" was portrayed by this shot, but it was a very close call. The standard of work submitted is astonishing, and congratulations to all.

The camera was the right way up when i took that, and i didnt rotate it with a program, the only thing i did was crop it down so i could submit it with ugbox :Pirate:

No way did i think it would be doing as well as it has though, i'm glad some people like it :D

oh and i'm not gonna vote for myself either, thats just silly. Maybe another one for Mred32 because i was going to do something along those lines *but with a streetlight or something* until i managed to make my shot work

oh and all these pictures are awesome guys keep it up :Pirate:

I liked your shot, but it looked like you could have croped a little tighter at the top so as to make it look more like you were levitating the plasma ball in your hand... and the other thing I thought it could have been a little sharper it looks like your hand moved when you took the shot... but that could also be the glass giving that effect... other wise very good...

I never thought that when I took my pic that it was going to make top10 as I took it more tongue in cheek as everyone knows you shouldn't have power lines in frame
