I get the feeling there's going to be a few macro shots here :p

I have my own idea though :)

I get the feeling it is going to be a macro war? I cannot think of another way to capture detail, well, there is one way that springs to mind but I doubt it will make for a good photo.

I think a busy landscape or otherwise a wide angle shot of a busy scene would fit the topic. Or maybe just a generic picture of something considered to be detailed in comparison, like an exceptionally weathered eldery face.

To explain my entry, it is a sample of pure Asprin crystals...shot on an icemat cos it was about the only black this that seemed to have a nice surface around. Made them in the chem lab today.

Gonna have a few more shots to see if i can get better ones of them, but essentially will stay the same.
edit: already updated the image. should stay as that one now though

    My attempt. :)

    My First entry! wow!
Well i saw the post so i will have a stab at it.
This is only 640x480 version if this is an issue i will resize it to 800x600. Its just that i already use the 640x480 on my website.
Its of a local (Rockingham WA) beach/rocky area i use for regular photography

    Changed to 800x600

    My rose

My first entry is a rose from a neighbour's garden.

The original image was cropped to 1024 x 768 and then resized to 800 X 600. Other than that it's straight out of the camera.

Yes, this is an issue. The rules specifically state the image's longest side must be 800 pixels.

I would recommend you update your entry, otherwise you will be disqualified.

    Cheers,
    Martin.

whats the ruling on multiple entries?
I yesterday took a photo of a huge behive in a drum. I could just post it for interests sake if any one is interested.

Dangerman, looks like a passionfruit vine flower to me. Used to have one of them on the fence outside, but water restrictions killed it... (well, okay, me being too lazy to water it with a bucket killed it... )
