So there I was just thinking "i have a old laptop how about I put Linux on it" so I follow the words and did everything and my laptop has Linux running. Then I desided to restart my desktop for a update I needed and then it says isolinux.bin Is missing. I have the genuine win10 USB stick but I don't see a recover mode. Any ideas?

Make sure it's not accidentally trying to boot off the wrong device, but it sounds like you've hosed your MBR while preparing the linux installer.
If that's the only part that got damaged, you should be able to get to a command prompt from the Win 10 USB Troubleshooting Mode and something like:

Which instructions were you following? Normally I just download an image and write it out with something like rufus that won't touch your hard drive by accident.
