    Its time for an upgrade.... Im looking at a 2500k. Do you think its worth waiting for ivy to come out? Do you think sandy bridge cpus will drop by much? I cant see the 2500k dropping much below $200?

    Well a retailer is free to sell whatever they want, after all they wont even know when the release date is.

    It would be someone higher up the supply chain that would have broken an agreement with intel I'd say.

    nope, if anyone was liable it would be the seller's supplier, which would most likely be an Intel distributor anyway (if it is a retail chip).

    Nah I don't think so because it's probably common practise to distribute before NDA lifts so retailers are ready to go right on the day, it's then the retailers decision to sell early if they want to.

    Doesn't matter anyway, I was just curious.

    :)

    you should be able to ask them to exclude VAT, making it 130gbp.

    130 GBP -> 199 aud

    I bought a HSF as well, it reduced the shipping cost. It was 220 pound shipped. Not bad.

    OCUK screwed quite a few overseas buyers over the years. Don't expect them to do anything for you if something goes wrong. Also, if they have any special bundle or free steam game, expect nothing but the primary item.

    Nevertheless, it is a good place to buy, assuming the price is low enough, things that are covered under international warranty because they will ignore your emails and phone calls re: returns, warranty claims, damage during delivery, etc if you aren't a UK customer.
