    Hi Guys,
If a thread for this is unwarranted, I guess it will be moved or deleted,
but I have a question re my jailbroken iphone 4, and others may also which would be of interest to me.

All of a sudden I can't download or update apps via my iphone because the password isn't
recognised (even though it's correct and I've changed it to be sure).
This isn't such a problem because I can still dl from iTunes and transfer
new or updated apps, but is this because Apple know it's jailbroken?
It was happy letting me spend my money on apps for a while (I was still buying itunes apps regularly).

Maybe the jailbreak mucked up one of the iTunes related files on your device?
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) but there are some patches that relate to iTunes when you use certain apps to download free apps. Try reinstalling those?

Otherwise you might have to do a restore using iTunes and try jailbreaking again!

It was a while since I opened Cydia, and it looks like the essential updates fixed the issue :)

    Hi Guys,
So if I upgrade my iphone's firmware, and then jailbreak it again (with the newer firmware),
will all of my installed apps and tweaks be safe? or will I need to download and reinstall everything?

Unless you've backed it up beforehand, using Cydia's utilities, you would have to download and reinstall everything again.
