Wow, quite bizarre. Usually cities welcome tourists taking photos.

Signs saying not to eat whilst walking?? Getting a bit silly.

Expensive though, and their longhaul fleet is a bit "aging".

I wish I could fly with them more often. Flying to MNL via Japan is just too expensive, sadly, otherwise I'd be in Japan for a day trip every month!

787's for any leg I normally take. I agree though, they are generally quite pricey.

Frankly, I use ANA and also JAL only for business trips, paid by the company. For private, too expensive. I get a ticket with Thai in business class from Tokyo to Frankfurt or London for 3,000 USD, just with a stopover in BKK. The same trip is almost 6,000 USD with ANA. Even LH which has the same 5 star rating as ANA is cheaper.

I don't think anyone has ever heard me complain about a stopover in BKK. I usually do it on purpose, and make sure I get at least a night to go mad on food...

SQ and TH are my most flown airlines.

So, you guys fly a lot. Where’s somewhere cool and cheap to fly to from Japan? (HND preferably)

Want to go on holiday for a week out of Yokohama, but have literally no idea where to go? The person I’ll be travelling with doesn’t want to holiday in Japan as they’re a local (I’d be keen but I’m not the boss with this one) and I just have no idea where to even start.

Flights to South Korea can be really cheap at the moment - the wife was saying from Takamatsu to South Korea was $50 each way as their trade war is hitting some airlines hard and they are trying to stay afloat.

Pretty good, but not as good as the klook 15% cashback offer a few weeks ago. Was very lucky to stumble upon that 24 hr offer. If only it was stackable with this!

Yes, this is "unfortunately" true. Due to the current tensions between Korea and Japan about war time apologies, comfort women, and reparations, and such stuff, the number of visitors between both countries, is at an absolute low at the moment. Some of the smaller local airlines depending on tourists are desperately trying to fill their planes. I have have heard about offers as low as 1,000 JPY to fly from Hakata or Osaka to Seoul or Busan.

Reading Klook/Krook reviews does not give me any confidence in them being able to provide quality of service or tickets on time or even supply as requested whilst refunds are an absolute nightmare going by there feedback on trustpilot.

Being a rather cautious person when it comes to travel I prefer to deal direct with hotels/airlines & only use highly recommended agents where needed, JRpasses from JTB travel for example, even if it costs a little more for peace of mind.

Dont even get me started on comapnies such as flight centre/viator that i have used in the past.

Oh by the way how safe is South Korea compared to Japan & what levels of customer service & cleanliness might one expect?

Is South Korea a recomended place to visit as an older couple who enjoy garden walks/ & easy travel?

No way. SIN business class is much better than ANA & JAL. The fit out alone looks classier and they have compartments you can store items.

One thing is for sure true: The seats for both ANA and JAL are smaller than for other premium carriers.

Could be anything between 0C to 15C.

November - February are mostly sunny with blue skies, very little rain.
