"Join me in the airline lounge" Thread (Offers only - no requests)

I find that with my relatively frequent travels, I am often sitting in the lounge thinking it would be nice to bring a random person in so they can also enjoy the free drinks and food on my FF program.

So, if there is any interest, I am proposing to use this thread as a consolidated way for people with FF status to "buzz in" a fellow OCAU'er who may otherwise be sitting on a plastic chair staring out a window at the runway, paying $4 for a can of coke.

The poster would need to post date/time/airline and alliance, and I would suggest anyone wanting to join would use PM to make the request. Once filled, the poster would edit their post to say they have the spot filled. This would stop the thread being filled with "pick me", and would just be a list of people offering to let someone else join them.

I'm flying from SYD to LAX on Jan 22, 2014 @15:20.

Flying United, Star Alliance. Anyone flying a Star Alliance partner, to any destination, and is in the departures area between ~12:20-14:45 can send me a PM, I can let one person join me - first in best dressed.

On a side note, it's not essential to hang with your host/guest. I'll be crap company most of the time as I'm usually finishing up work emails etc before boarding, but, hey, free beer!

Platinum gets to bring in 3 - I'm one as well so will have to post. Will be coming back from Syd in a couple of weeks so will give this a go then.

Happy to get someone in, but not a chatty person and the lounge is one of the few chances I get for a quiet sit down so will say hi, get you in and then probably part ways...

 

ill go in on this I'm an Emirates Gold member and have access to all Qantas and EK lounges maybe i can help someone out! not sure if i can take others in ill take a look never tried it lol

Will be getting to the Sydney Virgin Lounge around 4:30pm - 5pm on 17/01/2014 so if you're interested I can be the guinea pig for this thread!
