The Changi T3 Gold lounge is getting a makeover and getting showers finally! And toilets inside! Did you read?
I'll be there on 25th.. trip to Canada on the hello kitty plane! It's finally here
anyone know much about lounge for Singapore Air business passengers lounge access in Philippines and South Korea?
Yup - assuming you're doing Manila (MNL), you'll be flying into/out of T3. What do you want to know? I live in the Phils for a large chunk of my year, so am as familiar with the lounge there, as the ones in Changi and Sydney.
Download the Grab app (it's SE Asias Uber) and use that to and ONLY that for getting round. It'll save the hassle of dealing with scamming cab drivers.
When you get off the plane, walk like lightning, immigration can be a shit, and the line up can be quite long. Where are you staying, and around what dates? Business? Pleasure?
As for Sth. Korea, I presume you mean Seoul (Incheon - ICN). Been there a few times, and seem to remember that you'll be using the Asiana lounge, the SQ lounge (the terminal area it's being located in, at least) was being renovated the last time I flew there, though it may be done be now.
Let me know what you want to know...
Oh yeay! FINALLY!!! Are they doing the same for the one in T2? I always was amazed that their lounges in every other place were of a higher standard than their lounge in their home airport.
I hope you're flying business int he Hello Kitty plane... I flew it a few years ago to Tokyo after a huge night out on the sauce in Taipei. I stumbled to a bus stop that at about 5am, and managed to figure out which bus to get to the airport. Stumbled through immigration and security, got tot he lounge, crashed for 20 mins, was thankfully woken up by a staff member, boarded the plane and was wondering WTF was going on, because everything was Hello Kitty. I mean everything!
The pillow, the blanket, the safety card... I promptly crashed again and woke up during the meal service, I was a bit more with it, but was still confused as hell when I got my food - there was "Hello Kitty" looking bits in my food. It tastes great and all, but was confusing as hell...
When we finally landed in Tokyo, I got off, looked out, and realised it was the Hello Kitty jet. It all made sense!!!
If you are in business, it's a way cooler experience (in terms of even the food being themed). No idea how it is in economy, as I've never had the good fortune of being on it again.
T3, gold, silver, first & private room at this stage, renovation starts now, till ~2021.
if you ever used the dnata lounge in T3 with its showers, they will now be in the gold lounge. This was my goto lounge with priority pass when not travelling in J, due to its free showers
nothing announced for other terminals yet
yeah looking forward to the hello kitty flight with our 2.5yo. we're in J all the way and back.
That's an interesting route - the sort of thing I'd do, but most would avoid... Doing any stop overs?
Just SIN this time in both directions. TPE planned for another trip now there is a direct flight ex Sydney with qff points
SIN ain't too bad, lots of good cheap food if you go to the hawker stalls, make the effort to get to TPE though, well worth it! Love that place!
did it this way to avoid LAX. didnt want to do Air Canada direct to vancouver
going J so a few extra hours in the air shouldn't be an issue I hope.
it was the only route I could find easily in J using my KF points.
on the SYD>SIN flights I even managed to book 5x J savers, all on the same flight
Dam I’m stuck in Singapore for 5 hours this Sunday, will have to look up what to do.
Jewel! I'll be flying out of Changi on Sunday lunchtime. Are you flying SQ? In J?
Nah I fly out 7am Sydney on Sunday SQ and arrive 2:15 pm Changi than fly out T2 at 7:15 pm.
