I've been forgetting to put my flights up, so...

Nov 19 - 06:30-09:00 SQ Lounge, can buzz one in.
Nov 19 Singapore T2 Gold lounge, from about 17:30-18:45

I always find it to be fun to see if I can convince a fellow passenger to join me in the lounge - and by that, I purely mean entry (I prefer to do my own thing).

It's amazing how hard it can be to give people access to free food and free beer!

I've usually had good success when talking to people who are in line to check in with me, and often there are people I work with who are leaving at a similar time as me. I keep chatting to them in the lounge though.

Hmm, not sure about other alliances but with One World if you have lounge access from your FF membership you have Business and First queue access also for sapphire and emerald respectively so I couldn't do this.

When I was younger I used to go to the gate to leverage my first class lounge access to meet holiday girls.

Yeay!!! I can keep posting on this thread for another year! Singapore Airlines gave me a status match for my United status, So I'm officially a Krisflyer now. Yeay me.

Now all we need is to actually have an OCAU meet up at a lounge, I'm pretty sure it's yet to happen, right?

Yeah United ff program has gone down the toilet.
    Welcome to KF!

I just redeemed some miles for a trip tov Paris in July. Thinking about a quick trip to HK for work in April, will be on SQ

Yeah - I got an email about the latest "enhancements", and with a quick mental calculation, I realised that my near 100k miles/year would barely get me beyond silver, it's really heavily weighted towards high volume low short distance flights now.

I've still got 100k points to blow on my United plan, so 1st class SE Asia trip for Xmas coming up!

SQ probably more expensive to redeem miles, but jeez, at least I'll qualify! Seems they agreed, as they are not known for status matching unless they see you as being a worthwhile customer.

I was going to offer a place in the ANA / STARALLIANCE business launch in Tokyo, Haneda for 25 March. Unfortunately, I had to cancel this overseas trip to the US for myself and my team, because the venue in Florida we were going to use for a TV commercial shooting is refusing entry to any visitor from China, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Hysteria.

    Edit:

I would assume that the lounges are now almost empty, or closed, and that it will stay this way for months to come. :Paranoid:
