Are people still travelling? I'm wondering what work is so essential that people need to travel, especially overseas.

I didn't even think the lounges were still open

Got my platinum VA card a month or two ago and had a bit of a sad chuckle :( haha

    Yah, pretty much all closed.

Singapore Airlines has their top tier lounge for first class/pss still open at Changi, but no food out and stuff like that.

All lounges in MEL international were closed last I was there (early this month). Dubai had some EK lounges open.

Thread seems dead, just in case.

FRA-DOH and DOH-BKK today, can guest 1 into a One World J lounge.

I've booked an award in F for June 2021 to Frankfurt.
Also Japan next Nov in J.

    Think Frankfurt will get cancelled

    Too many points sitting dormant

I remain salty at my pool of VFF points that are probably going to end up useless.

Bain has reopened lounges and has said no changes to the VFF program.... So far I guess

Kind of strange to not see the inside of an airline lounge (or even an airport, for that matter) in 9 months, for the last6 or 7 years, it was almost a weekly occurrence. Luckily, seems SQ are extending my gold FF for a year, which is nice!
Damn, I miss BKK... Always loved having a 6+ hour stopover, and going full mental on street food.

    Z...

I was travelling to Melbourne almost every 2 weeks and I can wholeheartedly say, I don't miss business travelling one little bit.

On the personal side I do miss my yearly trip to SEA. The wifey is missing her family too but it still looks a long way away before any semblance of normality.

I'm flying to Sydney next week for a couple of days and then back to Melbourne. It's my first work trip since Feb and my first chance to see my parents this year

    couple of redemptions booked.
if they happen or not, thats another matter but easier to cancel than to redeem points.

Last June I booked a trip in F to Europe return for June 2021, not looking good on that one
Last month booked a holiday in J for 3x to Tokyo return for Nov 2021... fingers crossed for this one.

so many more points to use up still
