My game is more fun then your game.

Now, to buy JC3 on launch (not preorder, never again...), or wait for a $2.50 sale down the line?

The map size of Just Cause 3 will be 400 square miles (which is the exact same size as JC2's), but looks like it will be way more detailed:

Was it just that trailer/youtube compression, but did it look like the same engine/graphics quality to anyone else?

Not complaining, as JC2 graphics were very decent, but we can always do better.

I never played JC1 - I only discovered the series with the second title's release (I'd missed a big chunk of gaming between the early 2000s when I gave up on it, and just these last few years when it's started to appeal to me again).

JC1 reviews and videos seem to indicate it's not great. Even comparing it to games of the same era to compensate for ageing, it doesn't seem to offer a lot.

But yeah I agree, Avalanche have jumped in leaps and bounds between 1 and 2. If that same jump has happened for 3, it's going to be crazy.

The grappling hook was a solid 40% of why that game was so awesome. As long as I have grappling hook and parachute this game will be amazing.

JC 1 has terrible control and it looks really bad now. Stopped after a couple hours.

Like GTA, Mercinaries 2, The Saboteur etc. it's a shame so much of the world goes unseen.

Also note, the 3 choice boxes which appear for the encounters was just added for demonstration purposes at E3...the final game will be seamless just as JC2 was. This was confirmed by one of the devs, I thought that was a little weird when I first watched it

I actually think JC2 stil holds up. Not the campaign, that was cringe worthy - the open world though is heaps of fun - and it looks like they've improved and expanded on the destruction which is just awesome - Just Cause 2 was at it's best when you were owning the shit out of it in an attack chopper :D :D

The driving model appears to have had a good going over as well and that's welcome, it wasn't awful but it wasn't the best part of the game.

If you haven't ridden a gas bottle rocket, you haven't lived!

    Hope that makes a return.

Nice touch I guess....but I question how much players will want to drive around when you are now given a friggin' wingsuit which you can use to propel yourself around with the grapple

    Looks great!

there was a grappling hook mod in 2 which made the hook unbreakable. That paved the way to days of fun for me. Tethering planes to things just never seemed to get old
