I say bring it on. No publishing fees, no platform limitations, can sell these suckers forever and ever, can be used as stocking fillers for anyone without having to worry about what system they're running, etc, etc.

Especially useful *because* they're true plug-and-play nostalgia devices, and there are ex-gamers out there who gave up on modern games, and they can use these without pre-requisite hardware.

I love these things. Bring on the march of the minis!

Love the design of the japanese version. Combination of colors, mould design, the way gamepads look, the logo.

Awesome, this is on my list for sure.

Not sure if I am a fan of the mini's, I have a disturbing hature of frame skips.

    Is hature even a word??

at least i have until next year to procrastinate, this is so damn tempting might be another wait for reviews though. hopefully it's more NES/SNES and less PS1/NEOGEO

Wonder what availability is going to be like.

I'm really happy that it's the same batch of games on all consoles. I know local region licensing is always difficult, but it's such a PITA when different systems have different games.

And honestly, not doing it just to avoid startling the herd is a dumb reason. People can get over the fact that Japanese games are in Japanese. We don't need to protect them from that amazing factoid.

    • The Legend of Valkyrie (1990)
    • Seirei Senshi Spriggan (1991)
    • Spriggan Mark 2 (1992)
The Japanese edition of the console will also get 1992 role-playing adventure Tengai Makyou II: Manji Maru.
