As the title suggest, looking for recommendations. Going to be in Melb, Carlton North to be specific for a few days next week, looking for some good eats, korean bbq or anything else! thanks!

I'm not from Melbourne but I was there last year. The maps tell me that the shops I went to are around 10km from Carlton North and around 13m to get to. If that's not too far (and nobody local comes along with a better suggestion) there are a whole heap of food outlets at the Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong including NeNe Chicken. Maybe too downmarket for what you are looking for, but I like it and the internet suggests you don't have it in SA?
Hopefully somebody local will have a better suggestion.

That's the problem with food places, they can go from good to awful in a short space of time, even from day to day when you've got somebody good rostered to somebody no good.

Looks like Woo Ga is permanently closed (according to Google!)

Donwoori near Queen Vic market is solid. Not the best, but far from the worst. I guess good enough to have a good time.
Guhng the Palace was ok. A bit too pricey for the food and service was sub par. Convenient location though.
Towoo in Balwyn was higher quality but a bit more pricey in the suburbs. Prob my recommendation from this short list.

If you just want KFC then Gami in the CBD is solid. I actually liked a wildcard in Coburg more (Pelicana), but maybe expectations were lower so I just enjoyed the surprise.

If you want suburbs, I highly recommend Hinoak! It’s in Glen Waverley opposite Syndal station
