I have been having trouble with my audio recently. Constant stutters which have made it impossible to do video editing and just plain annoying for everything else. Stuttering occurs through Soundblaster ZXR, onboard Realtek and through a monitor (I guess Nvidia audio drivers). So the problem isn't from the soundcard as I initially thought. All drivers are up to date.

I started noticing the problem earlier in the year. Then I updated my Soundblaster driver and that seemed to have solved it until last week.

My Google-fu has come across this latency issue that has arisen since a W10 update some time ago. I have tried rolling back updates as far as I can, but that has not helped. I did come across a suggestion to use a program to diagnose this latency issue.

LatencyMon is suggesting it is storport.sys that is causing the issue. But what is controlling this driver?

    Any help in diagnosing this?
