Is there anyone out there with some leathercraft knowledge/experience? I got started a month or so ago and have finished a template for a simple passport holder that I am sure everyone with the tools, has attempted to make. I plan to add some electronics to mine though, which is something I don't see many people even attempting. The prototype build is of black tape and 250gsm card stock paper that the template was cut from. I plan on using veg tan leather, wax for edge sealing, and black leather dye with pagan/viking style stamp designs on the front. Have a picture or two of the prototype: Currently Finished: 2 x card slots money slot passport backing slot Future Additionals: card slot windows for easier removal Pen loops down the center fold small slot for travel sim card Thinking of but not convinced just yet: Plastic panels for the cards/ID small pocket on the back for boarding passes to slot into and fold over and into the wallet Another slot along the long edge for money/receipts like traditional wallets Full scale front cover stamped designs Leather is expensive so I have some kangaroo leather scraps laying around that I am practicing with. Anyone else out there doing this stuff? I'd love to see your work/hear your ideas. Edit: Thank you CAPT-Irrelevant, I uploaded to Imgur this time so there is no issue with seeing the images . You're a gentleman and a scholar.
