LED Flashlights.. CREE, Xenon and Luxeon, oh my!

Replacement arrived today, Wed 20-Mar-2024 - a complete new torch with all accessories

And I've got its Ramp Config done

Next project will be to see if I can disassemble the head of the old torch, with intention of replacing its microprocessor

Couple of asides:
1. I reckon Sofirn didn't send replacement until I chased them up about it - tracking reference then showed despatch date = chase-up date
2. New torch flashes main LED for battery check, versus old one flashing power button LED

 

glad to hear it's sorted out finally

 

What do people think of Warsun? I picked up 2 T7's from Aliexpress, put it through it's paces and I love it, gave one to my dad. Thinking of grabbing some different models.

it's the Goldilocks size in my little trio

came with a 5000mAh 21700 sofrin branded cell and is the 6000/6500k variant while the other two are 4700/5300k

that xhp 70.3 sure is a bright chip. don't know how they get 50,000 hrs from them
