That set has been on catch of the day a few times. Not a terribly exciting set in my opinion.
Anyone up for some mint-condition Lego?
Lot of Starwars and Technic!
how on earth to people manage to keep stuff like this for so long, unopened!?
For some people there is no emotional attachment to the item in which they have invested as it's just going to be a transaction for them.
Wow, that's a lot of old gear!
Think many of the re-released models look a lot better though.
Good one for the serious collectors I guess.
Never knew could city was worth so much!!
If I had the cash I'd be tempted to get 8448 Super Street Sensation again. One of the best builds ever.
that seller needs to learn what MISB means. Even if the bags inside are still sealed, the box is open, so, it's just Mint (possibly.... but the box is open, so probably not).
Here you go, they start from $149 on Bricklink
Wow.. Santa please.. that looks like a lot of fun
I rebuilt mine a couple months ago, one of my favourite sets.
I'd love to have one of the few large F1 sets after looking at them recently.
I'll recommended them, enjoyed building mine
Did some work on my project this weekend.
That looks amazing! Well done.
Can't wait to see it completed.
Thanks mate, length is 103cm.
I ran out of black plate (again) last night. I haven't quite gotten enough to finish the ship, so made another bricklink order last night. This damn thing has cost me a fortune to build. I reinforced the wings and I am now (almost) confident that I can carry it without the whole thing flexing and falling apart or snapping under the weight of itself. I have to have it finished by the end of this weekend
I will be posting pics (and probably lots of them) once it's all finished.
Damn skippy that's excellent!
Thanks mate, should be finished in two weeks.
The list of the next series of collectible minifigs has supposedly been confirmed.
Here's the list incase anyone missed it:
Some good ones on there, I'm looking forward to seeing them (especially since the current series kind of sucks in my opinion).
In other news, yesterday and today most of my bricklink orders arrived. Almost $100 worth of plates and wedge plates mmmm platey goodness, and I still have a few more orders to come.
I can relate to that, i'v spent well over $2,000 on my truck.
Going to build some smaller projects next until i'm earning a bit more money, as the next big project will probably cost $5,000.
Gets pricey very quickly!
I did some serious plate-work tonight. Both wings are properly mounted now and the preliminary roof is complete. Pic below showing the roof on (not actually connected yet though). Included a spindle of DVDs for size comparison.
Once I receive my remaining bricklink orders (mostly grey plate and wedge plates) I can then finish the main engine, then the roof, then it's time for decorating it properly, then done! I'm almost there and I'm going to be excited to get this thing finally finished!

So started to look at my old lego gear, and thought I should make some up as extra presents for kids at christmas ... and because they're fun to build
Assuming I come across missing pieces and want to procure them, is there an easy way to identify the appripriate code, or collate a list of wanted parts?
Something like a database maybe?
Brickset is great for my sets, but I'm talking individual pieces.
