    that looks awesome!

Edit: Finished the exterior of my Dodge Viper. Getting the doors the right shape and getting them to function was one of the trickiest parts of the build. Interior isn't done yet. Neither is the engine bay or boot and I still need to fix up a few bits on the exterior. Please excuse the dodgy phone photo:

In related news. Have started trying out building techniques for my 9 axle crane. Not sure if i want to go the Liebherr or the Demag. I like Liebherr better, but the Demag has better wheel spacing for my ocd (3+2+2+2 vs 2+3+2+2)

It would seem Toys R Us US and Amazon Australian shipping of Lego is damn near random... New Star Wars 2013 sets are on their sites, Amazon would ship the Rancor set a while back, now they won't, neither will Toys R Us ship me the A-wing.

Target Blacktown (Syd) had an UCS R2D2 set (thought they all sold out?) if anyone is looking for one.
Also found heaps (15+) of the 2012 Star Wars advent calendars in Uncle Pete's at Blacktown too.

There's still an Uncle Petes at Blacktown? Thought it closed many years ago? Still in the same spot? Might have to go and take a look. Think I got my first RC car from there many many many years ago.

Not sure where it used to be, but it's in westpoint shopping centre now, near Myers. They had plenty of older sets you just don't see in other stores. Even had some old Belville sets!

    R2D2 price should be $199.95

The R2D2 should have been $199.95.
I picked up two the week they went on sale, back in July, I think.
Also grabbed a couple of Kombi Vans when they were on sale at Myer for $135 each.
I built one of each, saving the others for trade or sale down the track.
I am hoping to get myself a cafe corner, that would be a sweet build.

I'll grab your other R2 if you're selling (unless you're waiting for the price to increase dramatically), been after one for a while.

Sorry mate, but unless you have a cafe corner, UCS death star, UCS SSD or similar, I am holding on for trade value later.

Just had a look on the Lego website, R2D2s are still available for $249.95 plus post.

Hmmm, Christmas Report is sad - no LEGO's....

However, we've started the 8 big sets as the main distraction for the nephew with 8436. (Although I have to run interference to stop his father "helping" just a bit much!)

    Uncle Jason has then been told it will be done in this order;
4611 (He loves police stations - his dads 7498 didn't stay in the box long :D )
    8386
    9394
    9397
    8010

So, looks like the mornings for the rest of my holidays are sorted :)
Everyone have an awesome New Years!

Some apparently un-advertised specials on at kmart at the moment. I heard SW Planet sets were going for $10 each, but I didn't check it.
I purchased the Jabba The Hutt Palace for just $129 (usually around the $180-$200 mark so big saving there). The prices are not marked as being on special on the shelves (at least not in my kmart) so you have to scan them to check.

Might be in anticipation of a new year sale. May not have updated the shelves yet but accidently made the prices live in the system. Have to check it out as I have $50 gift voucher to use.

BTW, as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago those Star Wars planets sets were 2 for $10 at my local Toys R Us. Good value at those prices.

    Finished my Initial D SilEighty:
    http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/350390

On to my next car now. Hopefully I will have it done before I have to go back to work.

My plan is to set up a display with groups of cars. Drift cars, exotics and muscle. So far I have a drift car and I guess you'd count a Dodge Viper as exotic??? Building a muscle car next.

A Viper would be a muscle car.

Really? I guess... but I would have thought their cost and lower production numbers (compared to other cars) would put them in the exotic bracket, but I guess it's kind of borderline.
