That was my first set too! High five!
I was hoping this round of lego ideas wouldn't produce anything that I wanted.
Instead, they greenlighted THREE sets that I realy want; the 'pirate bay', the sesame street set, and the playable piano.
Soo tempted today...
Walked into a Chatswood store for a suitcase... almost walked out with the Bugatti, at 20% off...
Must be good...
Target shipped my 42110 Defender this morning, street date isn't till tomorrow.
That's fairly standard. I assume I'll get a message or email from Target tomorrow saying mine will be ready to pick up which is good timing as I've got a site visit in the morning as I don't have time to get it until Friday otherwise.
I picked my defender up just now...
Building my Defender now after picking it up today. I've just finished the first stage and it's quite fun so far. Interesting new piece in the gearbox.
Excavator came today.
ETA on Defender is 11/10.
Any good deals on the Land Rover Defender? Best I can find is $296.66 on Shopforme.com.au plus $10 delivery or $299.73 shipped from Ebay with code POTTER. Want to get it for my son for Xmas so not in any great hurry. Wait for Myer/etc 20% off Lego sale?
Rick James has it tomorrow for 280 but limited stock so get there early. If you're not in Melbourne then they'll have it online next week
And they do free delivery as well
So just bought 3 new models to have a play with (been ages since I've done a build!) and Myer currently has a sale.
So first I got Tracked Loader (Looks awesome!)
Compact Crawler Crane
and Car Transporter.
Each will fit nicely in my collection... In being stored away until I have room to display
Thinking of selling my bucket wheel excavator and Mack Anthem. They look cool but take up a lot of room that I need. I'll probably only keep the Defender, RS3 and All Terrain Crane on display.
Yeah my Bucket Wheel is currently sitting very high, and covered in dust. Same with the Mack Anthem
But I kinda wanna have a whole series thing going with them.
Has anyone ever pulled apart a larger set and put back into bags with corresponding numbers?
Just bought 8109 "Flatbed Truck" off Facebook for $115. It hasn't been built but doesn't come with box. If all the pieces are there it's an absoulte steal.
I've decided to try and get a truck theme going with my Technic sets!
Bought two boxes of the car transporter just so I could also build the alternate flat bed and trailer.
Good idea. It's a great set to display the smaller scale cars
So I already had the Caterham and the Mustang, bought the two VWs the other week, ordered a NIB F40 today.
Aside from the DB5 and the London bus, is that it for the Expert cars?
I'm also ~70% through the Defender and I think I've changed my mind about not motorising and RCing it. I removed the rear seats to show off the shift mechanism but then thought that's more than enough room for a AAA box and a sbrick, had already mapped out locations for drive, steering and gear change....
Also tempted to pick up a Volvo Zeux to sbrick as well...
I've only got the VWs and Lodon bus as the LEGO brick models.
Need all the others.
Only recently saw the Defender, and so desperately want it
