Hehe, I've got the Leibherr R9800 still in its box waiting for me to work up the courage to start it
Oh. Fuck. Ummmmmmmmm
I don't have the space for ANOTHER huge foot print piece... But I think I must...
Oh you know what?
I'd probably buy it if it wasn't for its shity remote control stuff inflating the price. I have no interest in that stuff...
Yeah, same. I wish they had 2 versions of some kits - one with all that stuff, and one static kit.
Could make it up yourself I suppose.
I've got so many different sets I want to get. This one will have to wait.
Does anybody have a cool alternate build for thiz
Not worth the $200 price tag...
The bucket actually works which is cool (pushes material out of it) and it's got full steering and stuff... But yeah...
Personally, I just fixed the original.
Changed grill, extended front fenders, body line to white, removed the tiled sides, redid windows, black wheels.
Where did you pay that much? RRP is $180, $149 @ Bigw.
Soz yeah paid $180. Still not worth it. Didn't even see it in stock at Big W otherwise would've bought from there.
Just started the Heavy Duty tow truck, and honestly so far enjoying the build. Looks amazing. Very functional.
Anyone here uses Brickhawk premium ?
Is it worth the extra $ ?
Hmmm, I'm a mining engineer, so I guess I have no choice but to get the new CAT D11 when it's released. Not sure where I'll put it!
I am eyeing it as well. Just not sure about the yellow tracks... IMHO black would have looked much better. There may be mods down the line ..
But I will get it at some point...
That looks awesome! A lot of $$$, though
They are yellow IRL ... well, until the paint is all scratched off them, then they're a steel colour Same with the blade.
Yeah, very true
Hmm, so it would need to dig my front yard to scrape the yellow paint off...
Hard pass for me. Seriously considering a 2nd 42100 for Eric Trax's PR776 though, or this D11R.
Cat just doesn't do it in terms of functionality for that price, it can drive + 1 function at a time and one of those is to move the ladder...
42128 Head Duty Tow Truck is available at $179 from Amazon AU.
And out of stock so quickly!
Don't think I posted this here...
A bit of a side thing from LEGO itself. Built the kids a LEGO table over the weekend.
Using these Trofast cabinets from Ikea, as they already have all their LEGO stored in the cabinets. Build four of them, and arrange in a square
Prime and paint some MDF:
Add to cabinets with castor wheels:
Carefully flip over and cut top pieces.
Add some paint and some stickers from the Cricut
Then get the kids to add the LEGO:
The centre piece is removable so they can crawl through where one of the boxes is and stand up in the centre, or it can be part of their bigger playset. Its moveable enough with the castors that they can shift it if they need, but heavy enough that they cant move it terribly quickly and put holes in the walls.
Good little weekend project and they love it. Plus the lower height means they will play with their LEGO at the table rather than on the floor, and we wont have to worry about stepping on it. Plus mum and dad get to play with it too.
