With 20% off, $159.99. I figured, it was about the same as a couple of computer games, so why not.

I decided to get this set over the Enzo based on the fact that the F1 is bigger and it has really cool independent wishbone suspension, where as the Enzo kit doesn't have any at all... That and I think F1 cars are amazing, like fighter jets with wheels - just so cool to look at!

    That's a pretty good price.

So what other features did it have? I love the technic bits. :)

So how much was the enzo?

And now to actually find these in a store......

Basically it has a modular structure, so the nose cone can be detached, the engine cover can be removed, etc.

It's got a V10 engine with working pistons and differential, steering... But unfortunately no gearbox, I'm not sure where you would fit one though.

If anyone can tell me where I can buy the Enzo?! Please!
I hate how it's impossible to buy sets which just came out 1 year ago!!

I saw the 1:10 F1 and the spider at TRU today. But yea, no enzos in sight. Seems that target is the place to look going by what retz.x has been alluding to. :)

In Adelaide at least, Target at Marion had 3 sets of the F1 car and David Jones had the Enzo (@ $199.99). Myer didn't seem to have anything however.

Why not just rent out lego sets? Clearly all the fun is had in assembly... not sure about disassembly though.

Hey guys, I saw one of those 1:8 F1 car sets at myer yesterday. Oh boy it's a large box. It was $199 with their current 20% off. I think I'll still pass on it though, but I saw one there. :)

Heh, you broke down and got the Enzo too. :) Nice.

That looks cool, and the price is pretty good and fits in nicely to how many peices it has.

So, does it have a main internal frame made of technic with the little pins pushed in along the holes where the outside bricks are then pushed onto? I have a couple of sets that do that to gain an outside shell effect.

haah nope no technic mainfraime, just hundreds of flat pieces stacked ontop of eachother. Main reason it took so long to build. its about 70cmx70cm so a nice size.

I meant along the lower half of the main jet body in your picture. It looks like slope bricks, or it could just be the picture. :) And oh yes, I can see where you would have had to alternate colours as you built along it as well. Would have taken ages to put together.

Either way, it's a great looking model. That stand alone probably took a little while to build too. :)
