3.20.45 just dropped for me last night. This is on the C1 48". No issues thus far.

All I can find in terms of changes is: "Improvement of minor issues related to software"

What the bios update has for CX owners is Dolby Vision 120hz update what this entails and the C1's don't quite have this specific version because it has Dolby Vision 120hz VRR with black frame insertion if you listen to john on their latest update yesterday he mentions this in better detail

    time stamped the podcast

and this person goes into detail about it.

I don't have a series x and the ps5 hasn't had its dolby vision update firmware as yet until their sets support the same but tested some of it out on my pc which is connected to my CX in the lounge and its glorious hopefully they push it out to C1and CX owners but the black frame insertion game at 120 looks insane! hopefully they add and fix up the issues at 60 etc going forward for these 2 sets but I share johns sentiments of i doubt it coming to c9 but it will be awesome if it does

*edit* and when you do yes windows 10 has had this since Version 17134 for dolby vision in 2019 and presumably as I haven't updated to test in real time windows 11 should too I'm not sure with the RDNA AMD cards but I presume they can do the test but as i don't own a series X and its the flagship console with Dolbyvision + a proper hdmi2.1 feature set compared to playstation if you have a pc with at least a 30 series card you'll be able to test easily and it just detects and works and its hand shake is much better compared to what I did when i got my screen last year

Surprise, OLED wins again, particularly for gamers. Good luck in 2022 non-OLED.

that's because Samsung and the like compensate for everything through extra processing, the underlying tech can't make up for the true 1ms you get from OLED.

Hooray! I'm really hanging for this 42" OLED.

I wonder if it'll be more expensive than the current 48" version? I'm hoping for under $2k.

My prediction is it will sit at the 2k au mark.

As they should been running LG tv tech since back in the day of their korean ips panels (still have my Achieva Shimian 120hz from like 2012) and the CX has been one of the best tv's i've ever owned and seen so all aboard that train!

one thing of note is their post release support out of samsung sony and some of the others they are easily the best with updates and features for almost a decade now compared to their counterparts

What about the quantum dot oled? Is it just an extreme version of fald, Thus cheaper to produce than oled?

Would the colour filters be lower quality than oled or should it be similar? I believe a blue fald oled would be pretty good balance of the tech.

I can't imagine going to smaller than 48", suits 4k desktop work SO well without needing DPI scaling. For pure gaming 42 would work on a desk, but for dual use I think it'd be too small for me.

Would make a pretty nice sim rig monitor (or triple).
