For gamers, one of the more interesting screens to debut at CES 2020 was the new LG CX series 48" 4k model. No pricing as yet, and the general consensus is that these will be produced by LG's Paju OLED factory, which is not quite completed - but should be up and running sometime in Q1 2020.

HDTVtest was in Las Vegas and had a look at this interesting panel.

There are similar panels coming from Sony and Samsung EDIT: actually Hisense and TCL - but as far as anyone can tell, LG's will be the most feature rich - and wont demand you sell off the other kidney to pay for one.

Edit: as per suggested - thread title modified to include C1 model

I suppose you can call LG C9 4K OLED Gaming TV/Monitor since 2019 model supports 120Hz with firmware upgrade.
This.. and I bet $1000 that Linus will get the top of the range LG CX for free since he got like 10 TV/monitors from LG last year(inc 86" & 77" in past ~month).

Yep, too big for a monitor, for me at least.

    Hahaha. Yeah an interesting turn.
I somewhat agree that I would prefer a 43 or so but saying 48 is too big then running dual 43/40 is just bonkers.

Yes - it was being cancelled even as it rolled off the production line. Cannot remember why tho - but its famous for not coming to market.

43 is the max I can do, both visually with distance at normal sitting distance and deskspace wise. It's already jammed up.

48" will be fine as a secondary monitor for gaming with controller/sitting back a little. As primary up close with mouse and keyboard be pushing it..

My 55" is fine as secondary ;) Playing witcher 3 in 4k on that thing is amazing.. I sit bout 1.5m away with xbox controller.

I will however downsize to this 48" OLED though.
