This looks really promising - fast CPU, big screen, all the jacks and ports, would have been nice for them to put 6GB in the higher spec version. Hopefully no bootloop issues and bootloader is unlocked.

You really can't. Although I do agree with the gripes about the 5MP front camera though. At flagship levels you'd probably want something a bit better. I rarely use the front camera on my phone but I'm sure many other people do.

Quad DAC or not, if it can properly drive my custom IEMs with an inaudible noise floor im very interested!

It should be a hit in the USA as it will be the 1st and only phone to support the new 600mhz LTE band

I mean, having your battery die is pretty annoying, but having a spare battery these days is pretty silly considering battery banks can charge other devices, depending on connection obviously. They also come in a range of flavours.
IMO the replaceable battery is dead.

    http://www.techradar.com/news/lg-plans-to-tackle-the-note-8-with-australian-v30-plus-release

While the regular LG V30 ended up passing us by Down Under, the LG V30 Plus, a much better version of the same phone, has now been confirmed for an Australian release in early November 2017.

Set for release early next month, the LG V30 Plus will be available from JB Hi-Fi for $1,199, putting the price of LG's premium flagship handset well below its flagship rivals, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ($1,499) and the Google Pixel 2 XL ($1,549) in Australia.

Not too bad. Not really that keen for the plus version tho. The extra storage isn't that important to me. But hey, looks like off to JB next month!

lol @ the "much better version" bullcrap.

It has an extra 64GB of internal storage (who cares - it's 2017, we stream everything), and different earbuds. Yep - "much better".

Lot of reports now popping up about the dodgy screen. Glad I went with the Note 8.

Yeah ended up going with a Note 8 as well. Don't like all the reports on the screen. Know personally someone in South Korea with one and they are having bleeding issues.
