I got a couple servers, most in the process of being built

    Name: r2d2
Duties: DHCP, internal DNS, file and printer sharing, Domain Controller
OS: Windows 2000 server (using license I bought from work, going to buy one of our 2003 licences soon)
Specs: Dual Athlon 1.3ghz, Tyan Tiger, 512mb ddr233, s3 verge 4mb, 4 120gb drives in software raid 5, one 300gb sata drive on 8 port high point controller, 12 case fans was controlled by a digidoc that has since stopped working as a monitor of temperatures, still controls fans as simple on/off... Looking to upgrade to a hardware raid controller for the ide, and get more drives for the sata.

    Name: C3P0
    Duties: External DNS, Web
    OS: Centos4
Specs: Dual pIII 550mhz 1gb of ram, 36gb 10,000rpm scsi drive for os, and three 9.6gb 10,000rpm scsi drives in hardware raid5 for web folder. Compaq rackmount case. One of our clients was going to throw this out, only had one cpu at the time, I had another lying around.

    Name:Charlotte
Duties: Backup Domain controller till I get my MCSE then backup web server.
OS: None atm, but Windows 2003 180day trial, then centos4
Specs: pIII 1ghz, 512mb sdram, 2 20gb hard drives in raid 1(software), tnt2 16mb. (possibly Upgrade to hardware raid)

    Name: MrTeeny
Duties: Secondary Firewall, vpn endpoint, wireless firewall
OS: None atm, but probably pfdefense or nix firewall variant.
Specs: celeron 400, 256mb ram, onboard nic, and 3com pci nic, and (if I can get it working) and 32/64bit nic from a sun box, don't know wether to sell or keep the sun box, don't even know it's specs...

Not Crappy, and soon to be better

    Heres mine:

    Name: Home-server (doh)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (1.9GHz)
    Mobo: ASRock K7S41GX
RAM: 256MB DDR 300 (have another 256MB coming next week).
    HDD : 1 x 80GB Western Digital 7200RPM (3 partitions) - soon to be joined by a 160GB Western Digital 7200RPM, 8MB Cache.
    CD1: LiteOn 16x DVD Rom,
    CD2: CyberDrv 32x/12x/48x/ CD Burner
Video: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 400 - 64MB (better than the on board)
    LAN : 10/100MBs Onboard
    Keyboard: Turbo Media Multimedia keyboard.
Mouse: Post Office Brand Optical with scroll
Monitor: LG Studioworks 552V 15" CRT
    Audio: Onboard (not enabled).
Software: Windows 2003 Server (Enterprise), MailEnable (email client, similar to Exchange.) Avast Antivirus server edition.

Runs as file/print server. Once 160GB drive and ram arrives, will run DNS (instead of my 8port switch), File/print, Internet (via a Speedtouch 530 Modem). Also will utilise my new Webhosting/Domain I have with Quost

Probably reinstall everything, as at the moment, roamiing profiles etc are bitchy, and am using avant browser on the workstations.

Once set up properly, will format XP boxes, and have maiEnable working, linking to Mozilla Thunderbird on workststions.

Oh, forgot, Case is an AOpen Full Tower, beige, with blue power button near top, and blue accent on RHS of front panel. (Got it off a mate) Complete with 3 x 80mm fans, and using a generic 320watt PSU from another case.

May be getting hold of some older pentII/3 stuff, so may have a separate firewall etc.

    Dave.
