    Hi guys,

first of all, excuse the poor phone pics. it was all i had handy at work.

I picked up a couple of the Lite-on 256GB OEM SSD's yesterday for work.

i have a coupleog these ssd's in laptops here at work allready and have given me no issues so i thought i would grab a couple more.

Being a techo i thought lets open it up. and to my surprise this is what i found. not a normal PCB with lots of chips. but an Msata carrier board and an Msata SSD.

im not sure if this is old news or not but it surely was a surprise to me.

anyway, i thought it was worth noting.

It was kind of known, I bought one a few months ago to increase the capacity on an ultrabook. They used to be very cheap but now everyone else has dropped price so they are just cheap for ssd, but very cheap for msata.
Only 1 year warranty but Liteon have a good rep in some areas, and are pretty much the same as the plextor drives. Not heard any horror stories yet.

Anyone planning to get an intel NUC should probably look at these.

Seen this mentioned a lot on ozbargain, but is it only applicable to the 256gb?
