Good thing I only rented them out for 12 hour or 2 day stints. I had a feeling this might happen.

I took a 6 hour stint on a 5 meg rig, hopefully I get 2x for most of that...

Bah, it's back to clever if this goes pear shaped

Explains where 15gh/s or so popped up from. Back under 40gh/s, but I'm gonna gonna pump air for now until I can see the crypto world can control itself and not ruin it for everyone

Yeah it didn't take long for the catch to come out. It was just a marketing stunt. Figured it would be. Offering double means every bugger and their dog jumps on it, and that's not sustainable under any logic. I didn't bother.

The best multipool these days would be one that monitored the other multipools and avoided them. Use the hash where it's most valuable based on saturation, rather than basing all the algorithms on simple price and getting lost in the rush.

Thought this might have been too good to be true so I opted to rent a rig out instead.

Got a renter for 7 days @ 0.009 BTC/MH... hope it was nobody here :Pirate:

Just taking to a friend from overseas who started mining in 2010 with 10x 69xx cards and was earning ~3 btc per day! Sold out over the last few years and put the money to great use and has now quit.

Edit: he told me to start back then too but I dismissed it as a waste of time!

Shifty is all I can say. But I guess it prevents the multipools from taking advantage now.

    Pool Speed Reward multiplier
    0 – 25 GH/s x2

    I was previously 40 GH/s

Ha, it gets better and better.

Next time they pull a marketing stunt, let's remember this one.

Interesting watching it hovering around the 0.002 mark. Either the devs are using buying power to keep it there or they actually planned it all out very well. Bit of both maybe?

So what is the best way to convert some BTC or LTC too Aussie dollars? Looking to cash in some coins to pay for a new rig.

I've been using coinjar for BTC, support can be a little slow but no major issues. Their price seems to hover a little high which people whinge about for buying, but means even after fees the sell price is usually decent.

Another recommendation for Coinjar, they make you jump through some hoops but its worth it. Very good service. Usually takes 1-2days for money to hit my NAB account.
