That can't be much of it

the volume of cryptsy isn't even half what it is on mintpal.

plus, mintpal is a better exchange

I know how you feel! :D

I put 0.75BTC into ZET before it shot up 20x, and came out with 15BTC. Happy days!

something weird happened to my black coin wallet. some of the coins went from balance to stake... what does that mean?

can I access them to send to an exchange?

stake means they're 'staking' ie generating interest

happens after they sit for 8 hours then wallet is unlocked

feel free to move them around, yes. :)

makes all the poor investments and frustration setting things up all worth it in the end haha

Its been on cryptsy for ages.

i sold 4k @ 35000, happy to get 1.4btc in the bank and hope with the other 15k i have, rather then lose it all int eh case it crashes back down.

I set a sell order of 0.00079*** of 12kish worth 10BTC, am happy with that if it gets there.

Official Scrypt hashrate is 5.2M (2.6M on each panel)

What are your thoughts? Anyone get their hands on these bad boys yet?

looks good, much less trouble than the gridseed units.
looks like you would still need your own power supply.

they only do 6Mh/s though so you would want a few.
    wonder how much they are,
I wont be getting any as I have 75 gridseeds...

Aren't they the ones that were in the Bitcointalk group buy someone posted here the other day? link for $1450 US shipped while stocks last.

The future state of scrypt, scrypt asics, and alternative algos (making gfx cards profitable again) are all big variables.

The fact is (if they're 5 or 6ghs) it's about the same hashrate as I get now with my many gfx cards, and way less power.

And yet, they probably still require a matter of months to ROI even at these "bargain" prices. Or alternatively you could use your $1450 to buy about 3 bitcoins right now, and expand them through trading, rises in value, etc.

It's a hard decision. And the thing about waiting is the price of asic hardware will only come down, and the release dates of newer equipment come ever closer...

I'm part thinking that buying mining hardware with BTC is not a good idea right now, because of the depressed price. I think I'd rather keep the BTC and have it double in value sometime in the next couple months (probably, once this China bollocks blows over) rather than spend it on mining hardware (which most certainly won't double in value, ever).

got a payout of 0.027 already, see how it goes over the next month.

Setting and forgetting my miners to blackcoinpool has really paid off, GG Laziness :D

HAHHAHA i WON 25 Blackcoins from Black Wednesday :D

Sort of - which I think is why its rising.

Since it went POS rather than POW, you can only "mine" BC by joining something like blackcoinpool. They work by mining profitable scrypt coins, and using the sale of those coins to fund buying BC for your wallet.

My thoughts are that as more scrypt ASIC's hit the market, the volume of buying power behind BC will go up dramatically, pushing up the price in the same way. I had a sell order in for my BC overnight at 50k, but cancelled it this morning and am holding.

    FAC is also a proof-of-stake I believe?

    Well shit.

That's what I get for not looking at the markets over the weekend. I was thinking of buying into Blackcoin too.

I wonder if it's going to keep going up, and how far. Any ideas?

Yup sucks i sold some at 35k but on the flip side it could have just as easily crashed.

Sell where you are happy

Still got 10k left for speculating, still worth a decent chunk of change for the 24 hours i mined it for in the early days.

Now MINT needs to get its shit together and get some momentum happening.

Bout time something got people excited, my trading fees from my cryptsy shares have been going down due to inactivity, 2k BTC movement through BC will boost the dividends this week :)

10k is pretty nice amount at these values.

Be great if Mint got its act together, i'm happy to finally see Zeit doing some good.

i'm sure the next wave of profitable mining will hit with alt-algos soon enough.. but i'm happier with investing into new promising coins directly

you can either make a ton by mining with thosuands of dollars worth of hardware within the first week.. or you can invest in the first week when prices are low..

    no shit?

i can't see mintpal now *checks cryptsy* holy crap, no joke, sitting a bees dick off 50k on cryptsy right now.

this is why i'm staying in for the ride haha.

    and quickly to 55k.

this has to crash eventually, it's going nuts.

    ED: nudging towards 60k O_O

    ED: BOOM 60k

    50k-60k in... 7 minutes.

    63k.

    65k

65 could be the peak :)

below 60k again.. couldn't do shit though, mintpal under DDOS lol. I'm guessing that had something to do with the price rise.
