    Hi all.

my 930e webcam has somehow flipped horizontally

and i cant make it go back to normal..

now when i raise my right hand it looks like my left.
i have plugged it into various computers with the same results
however if i plug in another webcam i own it is in the correct orientation.
which leads me to conclude that something within the camera
and not software is responsible for this behaviour .
    does that sound possible?
prior to this morning it was and has been working fine since i got it.

ive looked and searched everywhere but it seems
i am the only one with this problem
    Thanks

Do you have the software installed? Check the orientation check box. It could be set to mirrored. This setting may stick in the firmware...

Otherwise update the firmware should reset everything

    Thanks..
i have the software installed but there is no option to change orientation and i have upgraded the firmware.
yes i can reverse the mirror in ZOOM but because it is incorrect to begin with
any green screen backgrounds i use are
back to front including all script .
it does look like its stuck in the firmware somehow..but how do i undo it?

well i searched that thread and couldnt come up with anything.
its ridiculous! it was working fine this morning
the only thing i did was connect another monitor to my main laptop
and thats when i noticed the problem
..now im not saying thats when it happened but
thats when i firat noticed it.
but %100 percent it was working correctly this morning.

    Thanks for the replies
as i stated earlier the main problem is the text on my backgrounds
now appearing backwards that are the main problem
I had them made for me at a cost and i can no longer
afford to have them remade (thankyou covid)
I have tried every bit of software on the logitech site
( the main one being "Logitech camera settings", this one makes changes that stick..
oh 3 diff versions of ) and not one of them have the mirror option available.
I understand that the pictures show the option there but its not there for my model.
    This is a perplexing problem

    im sorry Agg
but contrary to that screen grab (which i have seen before and is a source of confusion)...
that app will come up but never provide the options you have circled
    with my camera
    so no definitely not there

Is it the latest software? Weird that it would be missing the option entirely.

very weird..the latest software is very different looking to that and is called "logitech camera settings"
tried all versions and firmware updates ...
the weird thing is that it must be stuck in firmware
because although i can reverse it in prog like :zoom " etc
when ever i call up the logitech prescribed settings program
it always shows as flipped horizontal orientation .
just to restate ..up until day b4 yesterday it was working correctly

I assume you've done the basics and powered everything off, unplugged etc, restarted.

Also remove the device from device manager and tick the box to uninstall the drivers, unplug the device, reboot, plug the device back in and let it reinstall the drivers from scratch.

Go to your USB settings and check that the camera is recognised as a Logitech c930e

I think he said he tried it on some other PCs. Must be something on the camera. There's no sneaky button or dip switches or anything?

no nothing sneaky..the control app is very minimal as well..
so just to confirm ...if you are in front of your webcam and raise your right hand
it shows on the right hand side of the screen...right?
just like it does in a mirror

Here is the reply from Logitech ..

    Thanks for providing that information.
Unfortunately, there is no Logitech software for this camera that has a mirror function.
Also, there is no way to reset the device or firmware, unfortunately.
Since it is occurring on additional computers, I tend to think something occurred with the firmware,
or there is an internal issue with the camera.
I will be glad to take a look at the warranty coverage.

I think its still under warranty and if so i will get a replacement .
so until then thankyou for your time
