Hi all, Ive been googling to no avail.

So far I would like a laptop, 13' or below and under 1k if possible.

Ive been looking at the Lenovo U300 and the Asus u31 but as far as i can find out the U300 isnt coming to here and for sub 1k the U31 isnt quite what I was after.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

    Thanks in advance

13" notebooks are difficult to recommend to people because they fit between a full size notebook and a netbook.

i recently bought 2 of these wonderful little toshiba Satellite Pro T130 13" notebooks from MLN for $399 when they were on a 4 day deal, and they have an 8 hour battery life.

they are selling now for $586 but will go back on sale soon i reckon (its a nice thin wedge style notebook, very nice to look at)

MSI X370 Notebook for $668 with a 2 year warranty (msi are, i believe, now the only manufacturer to do a 2 year standard warranty, which is why i often recommend them to people, especially when they are on a sale)

its Amd powered (cpu) with Amd dedicated graphics, but only has 2x usb ports, and not sure on battery life, and the only issue i have with this one is that it resembles the apple macbook air (almost a replica) but it is pretty light and has a lot of flex in it.

Acer 13" TimelineX Laptop With 120GB SSD and 10 Hour Battery $898 + $99 cash back (ends 1pm on tuesday)
