Hi guys, pretty new with audio stuff especially since i've been using cheapo $100 logitech speakers for years.

I've recently just ordered a set of Aktimate Mini +

I want to pair it with a DAC, but my budget is limited to <$200.

So far I've been looking at the audioengine D1 dac and some other lower end Dacs.

I would like a dac with an adjustable volume knob and dual outputs (one for headphones and one for speakers).

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure how it ranks compared to others, but a friend recently purchased an Audinst HUD Mini DAC after reading a number of favourable reviews. It has dual outputs you can switch between, volume control etc. He's really happy with it.

There's also a larger HUD MX1, that apparently sounds better!
